About Us

Hogan-Melenyzer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. is family owned and operated since 1951. We have been in business and serving the Charleroi area for over 70 years.

The Funeral Home was originally established in 1901 under the name Lawrence B. Frye Funeral Home. In 1951 Mr. Schrock took over and the Funeral Home was then known as The Schrock Funeral Home. As time went on the Schrock Funeral Home incorporated in 1977 and became Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home. In September of 2021 the Schrock-Hogan Funeral was renamed Hogan-Melenyzer Funeral Home.  

In 1996, renovations were done to the second floor allowing for a new Selection Room, Cremation Room and a spacious Arrangement Room. A children/break room was added on the second floor in 2022. 

Because we are members of the local community the Hogan-Melenyzer Funeral Home, under the supervision of Kirk Russell Melenyzer Jr. & George R. Hogan, feel that we are better able to help serve our families needs. We serve all Faiths and offer an abundance of other services. We are here to help when families need us the most.
