John “Jack” Hoak, Jr., 89 of Coal Center, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in the Washington Hospital.  He was born October 6, 1927 inCharleroi,, the son of the late John William Hoak, Sr., and Anna Grace Short Hoak.  Jack was a veteran in World War II and the Korean Conflict serving in the US Navy. He was a member and chaplain of the F.&A.M. Lodge#615, a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church both of Charleroi, a life time member of the NRA and the Mid-Mon Valley Shipmates.  Jack along with his wife Dorothy owned and operated the former Jack’s Duraclean for 50 years.  He is survived by his wife of 65 years Dorothy Logan Hoak; twin sons John William Hoak III and his wife Geri of Coal Center, William John Hoak and his wife Donna of Daisytown; two daughters Jane Crawford of Coal Center and JoAn Lentz and her husband Paul of Fallowfield Twp; seven grandchildren Maj. Steven Hoak and his wife Natalya and Malori Hoak, Grace, Sonny, Madelyn Crawford, and Nicholas and Nathan Lentz; two great granddaughters Aurora and Elianna Hoak.  Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00.m. in the funeral home with Fr. Robert Hanna officiating.  Interment will follow at the Monongahela Cemetery with full military rites.  The Mid-Mon Valley Shipmates will hold a memorial service Friday at 7p.m. and the F.&A.M. Lodge #615 at 7:30p.m. both services in the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Charleroi Masonic Lodge or the Mid-Mon Valley Shipmates. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com.
