Mary Elizabeth Fisher,96 of Fisher Heights, formerly of Mapleview, passed away Thursday August 25, 2016 in Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Mrs. Fisher was born October 23, 1919 in Coraoplis, the daughter of the late Edward and Noll Semler Geisler. She formerly was employed in the accounting department at the American Steel & Wire Co, Donora plant. Mrs. Fisher was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church Parish in Charleroi, Eucharist Minister, a member of the Charleroi Court CD of A#669, Christian Mothers of Mary, Mothers of the Church the Charleroi Athene Club, Friends of the John K. Tener Library, the Speers Civic Club, Charleroi Golden Agers and the Horseshoe Baptist Cemetery Assoc.. Mrs. Fisher loved to travel, her favorite was Alaska. She was also a fan of NASCAR, her favorite number was #24. She is survived by her son Alan G. Fisher and his wife Margaret of Hartsville, TN; the love of her life a granddaughter Claire Fisher; a sister-in-law Mary Ann Geisler of Livonia, MI; 10 nieces and nephews and an adopted family who were so much help to Mrs. Fisher over the years, Diane and Rich Stankiewicz and girls Erin, Janelle and Breanne. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fisher is preceded in death by her husband Roland Fisher, three brothers Albert, Herbert and Edward Geisler, Jr. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday at 10a.m. in Mary, Mother of the Church, 7th and Washington Ave., Charleroi, celebrated by the Rev. Gerald Mikonis.
