Beloved wife and mother, Sarah (Sally) Gertrude Welker Santini, born February 1, 1933, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at home.  The daughter of the late Bernard F. Walker and Eleanor Frances of Connellsville, married Leonard Louis Santini, North Charleroi in 1954 and has resided in Fallowfield Township since 1960.  In addition to her husband Sally is survived by four children, Debra Hughes (William) of Georgia, Diane Bashton of Florida, Leonard Douglas of Washington and Derek Arthur of Van Voorhis: 7 grandchildren Bradley(Tara) Hughes, Katie (Jeremy) Bower, Lori (Andrew) Dysart, Tim (Jessica) Hughes, Adam (Chantelle Bashton, Brian (Jessica) Bashton, Aaron Bashton and 18 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her brothers Bernard Jr and Donald.  Sally has been a very active member of the Charleroi First Christian Church as a Sunday school teacher, Treasurer, Elder Emeritus and choir member.  She also was a past Matron of Monongahela’s Eastern Star Chapter# 108, being its secretary for 12 years and the Tennessee Grand Representative. White Shrine  Chapter#42 of Donora, Mon Valley Hospital Auxiliary, Faith in Action Caregiver and the Charleroi Athene Club.  Sally worked at the Charleroi Middle School and High School as a secretary from 1975 till 1999 after serving as an aide at Ninth Street School.  Friends will be received Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. (6p.m.O.E.S. ) in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi.  A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 2p.m. in the First Christian Church, 61 Walnut Ridge Rd., Charleroi.  Family and friends attending the memorial service are being asked to go directly to the church.  The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations may be sent to” Sally Fund” for the First Christian Church.  Many thanks to OSPTA Hospice nurses, aids and volunteers for the loving care given to Sally in recent weeks.   Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com.
