Alice L. Sheets

Alice L. Sheets, 101, of Charleroi, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at her home.  She was born April 1, 1917 in California, PA., the daughter of the late Walter and Alice Miller Sample.  Alice was a member and the first female elder of the First Christian Church in Fallowfield Township.  She was known for her cake decorating and did the cake decorating for both the Charleroi and Ringgold School District.   She was a member and past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member and past worthy high priest of the White Shrine, mother advisor of both the Charleroi and Monongahela Rainbow Girls and life-time member of the Mon-Vale Hospital Auxiliary.  Alice is survived by her two daughter Darla White and husband Harry Ellis White and Lorena Feevey and husband William both of Charleroi; five grandchildren Marlin White, Wesley White, Jason Feevey, Melissa Anthony and Joel Feevey; five great grandchildren Joshua Tabory, Lettie Porter, Hallie Anthony, Nathaniel Anthony and Hannah Anthony; two great-great grandchildren Juliana Kitzmiller and Ryder Nicholas and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents Alice was preceded in death by her husband Earl R. Sheets, three sisters Margaret Binkney, Dorothy Torrence and Belva Huey; two brothers Walter Sample and Lewis Sample.  Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11a.m. in the First Christian Church, Walnut Ridge Rd., Charleroi.  Family and friends attending the funeral services are being asked in go directly to the church.  Interment will follow in the Charleroi Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrcok-hogan.com.
