Denver L. Byron Sr., 73, of Fallowfield Township, passed away on October 4th, 2019 at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh with his family by his side. Denver was born on February 15th, 1946, in North Charleroi, the son of the late Warren Byron & Dorothy (Sloboda) McMullen. He is a graduate of Charleroi High School Class of 64’ where he excelled in soccer. In addition to leaving behind a multitude of loving friendships Denver was an avid golfer and took extreme pride in his work as a construction superintendent building built multi-million dollar projects in Florida, Virginia, Guam, Arizona, and Pennsylvania.
Denver is survived by his wife Carol (Beveridge) Byron. Two sons, Denver Byron Jr. of Carroll Twp, Christopher Byron of Fallowfield Twp. and daughter Jayme Zsiros & husband Colman of Cleveland Ohio. Sister Kellie (McMullen) Hatman & husband Daniel of St. Augustine, FL. Five grandchildren, Miranda & Christopher Byron, Kylee & Chloe Byron & Emma Zsiros. In addition to his parents Denver is preceded in death by his sister Debbie Moore.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. A blessing service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A celebration of Denver’s life will be held on Friday October 11 at Smitty’s Marina between 5-7pm.
