Dorothy L. Hoak

Dorothy L. Hoak, 88 of Clover Hill, passed away Sunday March 4th, 2018 peacefully at her home surrounded by family. Born June 20th, 1929, daughter of the late Thomas and Della Logan.Dorothy was a graduate of California State Teachers College. Following college, she was an elementary school teacher in Charleroi during the 1950’s. She was also a member of the St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Charleroi. Surviving are Dorothy’s 4 children, twin sons, John W. Hoak III and wife Geri, William John Hoak and Wife Donna; Two daughters Jane Crawford and JoAnn Lentz and husband Paul. Seven grandchildren; MAJ. Steven Hoak and wife Natalya, Malori Hoak, Grace, Sonny, and Madelyn Crawford, Nicholas and Nathan Lentz and four great-grandchildren, Aurora, Elianna, John and Luxon. Along with her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, John W. Hoak, Jr. (Jack).

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 8p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm. in the funeral home with Father Robert Hanna officiating.  Interment will follow at the Monongahela Cemetery.
