James Ross, 89 of Charleroi, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 in UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born January 20, 1930 in Monongahela, the son of the late James and Sue Revetta Ross. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Jim was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church Parish in Charleroi. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed dancing. Jim retired from Corning Glass works Charleroi Plant. He is survived by his daughter Marsha Fragello and husband Palmer of Donora; his son James J. Ross and wife Carol of Warrington; his granddaughter Melissa; brother John “Jack” Coulter and wife Anita of Monongahela, sister Donna Lenygel of Monongahela, sister-in-law Shirley Ross of North Charleroi and his companion Sue Daniel. In addition to his parents Jim is preceded in death by his wife Rosemary Marchenetti Ross, a brother John J. Ross and two sisters Carmel DeLattre and Gloria Grant. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery with full military rites.
