Louis R. Nichols, Sr.

Louis R. Nichols, Sr., 93 of Charleroi, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Arden Courts, Pleasant Hills.  He was born August 28, 1924 in Pricedale, Rostraver Township, the son of the late Frank and Eva Usher Nichols.  Mr. Nichols served in US Army during World War II. Mr. Nichols was an avided golfer enjoyed golfing and loved working in his garden.  He owned and operated Nichols Auto Repair in dFallowfield Township.  He is survived by three sons Louis R. Nichols, Jr., and wife Peggy of Fallowfield Township, Frank D. Nichols and wife Nancy of Long Branch and Kent L. Nichols and wife Cindy of Carroll Township; two daughters Carol M. Nichols of Monessen and Joni Paluso and husband Bob of Fallowfield; nine grandchildren seven great grandchildren and several  nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Mr. Nichols is preceded in death by his wife Ella Briggs Nichols, a son Larry Nichols, six sister Clair, Lena, Ruthie, Gertrude, Bertha and Alfreda and two brothers Frank and John.  Friends will be received Wednesday from 10 a.m. till noon in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Chkarleroi.  Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com.
