Margaret "Peggy" Newstrom

Margaret Ruth “Peggy” Lee Newstrom, 102, of Charleroi, entered into rest on, May 28, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family.  She was born January 14, 1916 in Charleroi, a daughter of the late Peter and Margaret Alice Lynn Lee. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.  Peggy was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church Parish in Charleroi.  She was a devoted mother to seven sons Raymond P. Newstrom of Boynton Beach, FL., Peter L. Newstrom and wife Charlotte of Webster, Fred L. Newstrom and wife Germaine of Ellwood City, Terrance Newstrom and wife Monique of Charleroi, James F. Newstrom of Charleroi, John J. Newstrom of Charleroi and Charles E. Newstrom of Webster and 100 adopted sons; Twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Raymond F. Newstrom, her sister Catherine Ritzer and her four brothers Frank Lee, Charles Lee, Jim Lee and Ed Lee.  Friends will be on received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi.  A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. in Mary, Mother of the Charleroi 7th & Washington Ave., Charleroi, celebrated by the Rev. Gerald Mikonis.  Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Charleroi.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Mary, Mother of the Church.  Online condolence may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com.
