Marjorie Jane Marshall

Marjorie Jane (Harpst) Marshall, 89, of Charleroi, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018.  She was born October 5, 1929, in Sharon, Pa.   She attended the Pennsylvania College for Women (currently Chatham College).  She was the daughter of the late Clifford Wayne Harpst and Mable (Lewis) Harpst, and niece to her beloved late aunt, Della Lewis. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, David Marshall   She is survived by her daughter, Diane Stout and husband, Robert Stout of Beaver; two sons, Bruce C. Marshall and wife, Janet Marshall, of Charleroi, and Jeffrey C. Marshall and wife, Beth Marshall, of York.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Holly Robson and husband, Douglas Robson of Castle Shannon, Ryan Ellis and wife, Carmen Ellis, of Wilmington, N.C., Melanie Lam and her husband, Dr. Erek Lam, of Gibsonia, Chelsea McIntyre and husband Thomas McIntyre, of Export, Pa., Natalie Marshall and Jackson Marshall of York; and great-grandchildren Amelia Lam, Benjamin Lam and Sydney McIntyre.  She will be remembered as a smart, strong woman full of kindness and love, who enjoyed spending time with her family. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m.  in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi.  The family thanks the home caregivers and Concordia Hospice of Washington for their loving attention to Marjorie.  The family has requested memorial contributions be made to Concordia Hospice of Washington, 10 Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301.
