Milton Kubik

Milton Kubik, 89, of Charleroi passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 in his home. He was born November 8, 1929 in Charleroi, the son of the late George and Emilia Paricka Kubik. Milt served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean Conflict. He retired with 44 years of service with West Penn Power Co. At the time of his retirement he was Superintendent of Operations. Milt was past president and current treasurer of the Charleroi Lions Club, past District Governor for Lions District 14-M; member of the Board of Directors of the Mon Valley YMCA and also a member of the Board of Trustees; former member of the Water Authority of the Borough of Charleroi; member of the Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce;  member of the Charleroi Historical Society;  member of the Charleroi Lodge F. & A.M. 615.  Milt is survived by his sisters, Martha Kovach of Munhall and Marie Pyle of Valparaiso, IN; his nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. In addition to his parents Milt was preceded in death by his twin sister, Mildred Scheponik. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will be held on Thursday in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Charleroi Cemetery.
