Nora Cox Weight

Nora Cox Weight, 95 of Charleroi, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018.  She was born March 7, 1923 in San Diego, CA. the daughter of the late Grace Truman Wright and Charles Warren Cox.  Nora worked in an Airplane factory during the war then an Naval Hospital in San Diego, CA.  She came to Pennsylvania to take care of her Uncle Dr. Wright.  She met her late husband Ralph through Mrs. Lang wife of Rev. Lang.  She was a stay at home wife/mother, taking care of her family.  Her passions were to cook and bake at home and at various functions for the First United Methodist Church in Charleroi, where she made nut and apricot rolls.  At home she had a great passion for flowers and especially her roses.  Nora is survived by her daughter Carrie Frere and husband Raymond and her son Charles Weight and wife Janet; five grandchildren Michael Frere and wife Michelle, Zachary Frere and girlfriend Hillary Williams, Bethany Cypher and husband Jason, Josh Weight and wife Ashley, Nicole Fast and husband Cory; eight great grandchildren; a brother Howard Cox and  brothers-in-law Larry Weight and wife JoAnn and George Weight.  Also survived by nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents Nora was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Weight, her sisters Charlotte and Ada and a brother Claude, brother-in-law Kenneth Weight and wife Casey Friends will be received Tuesday 4 to 8p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Claude Kirby officiating.  Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com.
