Virginia R Moats

Virginia R. Moats, passed away at her home on Thursday April 18, 2019 after her fight with pancreatic cancer, she was 83.  Born on August 11,1935 in North Charleroi, Virginia was the daughter of the late Harry and Hilda Dean Ellison.  She had a love of family and a heart of gold.  Virginia was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church Parish in Charleroi, the C.D. of A, and was most known as an avid Bingo and Card Club Player. Her Card Club ladies have been very supportive throughout her cancer battle.  She is survived by her husband Paul S. Moats, her children Deanna Sullenberger and husband Robert of Fallowfield Township, Paula Matthews and husband Raymond of North Charleroi, Paul M. Moats and wife Renee of Camp Hill, PA and Vincent Moats of Fallowfield Township; one sister LaVerne Ellison of Fallowfield Township formerly of Fullerton, CA., and her brother Harry Ellison of Belle Vernon; seven grandchildren Drew and Cole Matthews, Danny and Joshua Sullenberger, Cassandra, Vanessa and Zachary Moats, and many nieces and nephews. Virginia is preceded in death by her sisters Patricia Shetterly and Elizabeth Ellison and brother Thomas Ellison. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 am, in the Mary Mother of the Church, 7th & Washington Ave., Charleroi.  Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com
