Alvin J. Berkich

Alvin J. Berkich, 84 of Carmichaels, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 in the Uniontown Hospital.  He was born June 30, 1934 in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Joseph and Mary Zeleski Berkich.  Alvin was a retired coal miner with the  Consolidated Coal Co., Mathies Mine.  He is survived by his wife Virginia Longhead Berkich; his sister Mildred “Tootsie” Bobish of Mt. Jewet, PA, and his brother Robert Berkich and wife Beverly of Dunbar.  In addition to his parents his was preceded in death by his sister Anne Biach and three brothers George, Steve and Mike Berkich.  There was no public viewing.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com/
