Anita Procasky Obituary

Anita Fedora Procasky, 87, of Speers Hill, passed away from the effects of  Parkinson’s peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on March 20th, 2026. Anita was born on August 16th, 1938, in Bridgeville to the late William and Theresa (Federoff) Barzan.

 

Anita was involved in the Speers Civic Club, local card clubs, and her bowling league. A graduate of Bridgeville High School class of 1956, she continued her education at California University of Pennsylvania. She graduated second in her class, was on student council, member of Delta Zeta Sorority and in 1959 was crowned “May Queen”.

 

Anita loved traveling the world with her husband Bill, married for 65 years but have been in each other’s lives for over 70. They travelled to numerous countries together, particularly Ireland being one of her favorites and have even travelled to 48 states. Some of her favorite memories were dining under the Eiffel Tower, seeing the England Changing of the Guard, and even witnessing the Pope deliver the Easter message.

 

Anita was an avid reader, had a passion for gardening, and being the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family of who will miss her dearly.

 

Surviving to cherish Anita’s memory; her beloved husband William “Bill” Procasky Sr., her daughter Lynne (David) Kaufman, and son William “Will” (Veronica) Procasky Jr. Her grandchildren; Daniella (Zach), Derek, Giovanna (Sheridan), Fedor, and her three great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to her parents, Anita is preceded in death by her sisters Kathleen and Marie and numerous other family members.
