Armand Lorenzi Obituary

Armand Dale Lorenzi, 96, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully at Mon Valley Care Center on February 6th, 2022. Born on February 5th, 1926, in North Charleroi; Armand was the son of the late Jane Francis and Anthony Lorenzi.

                                                                                  

Following High School Armand served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII, receiving the EAME Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the WWII Victory Medal. He was also a member of the First Christian Church in Fallowfield Twp., the Charleroi American Legion Post 22, and the Slavic Citizens Club of North Charleroi, retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Mill. Armand enjoyed dancing, playing euchre, gardening, and spending time with his loving fiancée Mary Lou Lachman, and his nephew Tony Boscan.

Armand is survived by his fiancée Mary Lou Lachman, brother-in-law Joe Doer, brother-in-law Andy Boscan and his numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, and being the last surviving Lorenzi, Armand is preceded in death by his Wife Ann Gaisbacher Jones, sisters; Enice (Mario) Carcella, Florence (Vince) Lariccia, Clarinda Doerr, Antionette Boscan, his brother Donald (Shirley) Lorenzi.

Friends and family will be received from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Friday February 11, 2022 at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC. (formerly Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home), 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies 1158 Morgan Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017 at 1:30pm.

Due to COVID-19, masks and social distancing are recommended inside the funeral home.

A Celebration of Armand’s life will be held at the First Christian Church on Saturday, February 12th, 2022 at 2:00pm, followed by a luncheon in the church social hall. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to First Christian Church of Charleroi or to the Wounded Warriors Project in Armand’s name.
