Barry L. Smith

Barry L. Smith, 73, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2023 at Walden’s View of North Huntingdon. Barry was born on February 25, 1950 in Fairmont, WV to the late Harry Jr. and Olga (Messoria) Smith.

Barry was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Coal Center. Following high school, Barry served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion – Charleroi Post 22 and will be missed by his family whom loved dearly.

Surviving to cherish Barry’s memory; his brother Jerry J. (Diane) Smith, his sister Patty (Pat) Panepinto, his niece Nicole (Rich) Puyer and their children Hatie, Mae, and Pipper Puyer, his nephews Dale Smith, Brian (Amy) Smith and their children Colton, Kash, and Kelsey Smith, and Logan Pfrogner. His nieces Lorri Pfrogner and Taylor (Cole) Johnson and their son Jack Johnson.

In addition to his parents, Barry is preceded in death by his son Barry J. Smith Jr.

Friends and family will be received at Hogan-Melenyzer Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave, Charleroi, PA 15022 from 2:00 to 4:00pm, at which time the funeral service will begin on Saturday, November 18th, 2023 with Rev.
