Catherine A. Louis

Catherine A. Louis, 83, of Charleroi, went to be with the Lord on August 22nd, 2025. Catherine was born in North Charleroi on February 16th, 1942 to the late Anthony and Julia (Katinsky) Louis.

Greek Orthodox by faith; Catherine was a life-long member of the St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, where she worked the Annual Greek Festival for years. Catherine was a registered nurse for over 50 years and had a bachelor’s of science in nursing (BSN) along with an English literature degree. Catherine enjoyed traveling and going on trips around the world, loved her dogs, and was an avid reader. She will be missed by her family, her nursing family and friends, of whom she loved dearly.

Surviving to cherish Catherine’s memory; her niece Margaret (Jim) Love, her aunt Josephine Smith, her great-nieces Tabbitha Love, Tammara (Jarrod) Clevenger, and Tatianna (Jacob) Biller, her great-nephew James C. Love, her great-great nieces Evelynn Biller, Aria Clevenger and Lillian Biller and numerous other extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Catherine is preceded in death by her sister Connie Helton, her brothers Costa Strabikus and Michael Strabikus, and her uncle Pete Katinsky.

Friends and family will be received from 2:00 to 4:00p.m.and 6:00 to 8:00p.m. on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025 at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00a.m. on Thursday, August 28th, 2025 at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, 117 St. Spyridon Lane, Monessen, PA 15062.
