Obituary

David A. Lang, 70, of Harrisburg and Elizabethtown, formerly of Donora, passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2020 at his home. Born on August 10, 1949, he was the beloved son of Albert and Helen Lang formerly of Donora. David graduated from Elizabethtown High School in 1967. He was in the Army and was in the Vietnam War. He was awarded The Bronze Star. He was honorably discharged in 1975. David worked for Educators Mutual Life Insurance Company. Then he was employed for many years as the Vice-President of Sales for Capital Tuxedo. He also worked for Macy's for a number of years. Recently, David had been working for a number of years as the Concierge at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Harrisburg. He was also working for the Harrisburg Senators Baseball Team, which he enjoyed immensely. David was very friendly and made many friends throughout his life. His coworkers and friends were like family to him. David was the grandson of the late Grace and Herman Lang of Donora. He was predeceased by his loving Aunts Ada Lang, Frances (J.Earl) Frazier, Florence(Thomas)Kelley, and cousins Herman Lang and Lang Kelley. Survivors include cousins John Frazier, MD; Tom Frazier, MD; and Donna Rotheram and their families. An avid sports fan, David enjoyed watching the Steelers, Pirates, Penguins, and the Harrisburg Senators. He volunteered his time, and received an award from the Veteran's Association. David loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who love him. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
