Doreen A. DeUnger

Doreen A. DeUnger, 75, of North Charleroi, passed away peacefully on April 20th, 2022. Born in North Charleroi on October 7, 1946, Doreen was the daughter of late Joseph and Ardes (Lisko) Sloboda.

Graduating from Charleroi High school class of 1965, Doreen worked for Corning  Glass in Charleroi and then Campbell Transportation for many years until her retirement. Doreen could always be found with a smile on her face. Whether it was cheering on her grandchildren at sporting events, preparing for the holidays or planning the yearly “DeUnger family vacation”, Doreen’s life revolved around her family. A loving Mamal, mother and wife will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Surviving to cherish Doreen’s memory; her husband of 50 years, Gary DeUnger, her two sons, Brian DeUnger & Scott (Renee) DeUnger. Grandchildren; Katelyn (Kirk) Melenyzer, McKenna & Brody Dallas DeUnger; great-grandchildren, Paisley, KJ & Madisyn. Her sister Nancy (Rodger) Lewis, and her sister-in-law Colleen (Roger) Quimby.

Friends and family will be received from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm on Monday April 25th, 2022, at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC. (formerly Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home), 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00am on Tuesday April 26th, 2022.
