Dorothy Jean Williams

Dorothy Jean Williams, 91, of Charleroi, passed away on December 17th, 2024 at Allegheny General Hospital. Dorothy was born in Forward Township on May 18th, 1933 to the late David and Elizabeth (Bendel) Bruce.

Dorothy graduated from Monongahela High School in 1951; she enjoyed reading, sewing and embroidering, she loved doing her puzzles, and was a member of the Charleroi Golden Agers. Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by many.

Surviving to cherish Dorothy’s memory: her daughters Janice (Bobby) Whiten and Karen (Terry) Polcawich, her grandchildren Ian (fiancée Lauren) Whiten, Tyler Polcawich, and Brian (fiancée Nikki) Polcawich, her sister-in-law Dolores Bruce and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her beloved husband John “Jack” Williams, her sisters Alice (Mike) Sitar, Mary (Paul) Tautkus, and Elizabeth “Betty” (Tom) Sloboda, her brothers James Bruce and David (Betty) Bruce, and her grandson Terry Polcawich.

Friends and family will be received from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, December 20th, 2024 at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral service will be held inside the funeral home at 10:00am on Saturday, December 21st, 2024 with interment following the service at Monongahela Cemetery.
