Helen Marcella Burgess

Helen Marcella Burgess, 79, of North Charleroi, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2021 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. The daughter of the late Sue Yonash Newman, Helen was born on July 7th, 1941 in Charleroi. Helen lived life to the fullest; she owned JB’s Pub with her husband John Clyde Burgess, enjoyed her free time at the casino, playing her daily lottery numbers and scratch off tickets, at bingo with her friends, her love for football, cooking and baking but most importantly spending time with her family.

Helen is survived by her daughters Cathy (Charles) Weaver, Lori Burgess and Roxane Burgess. Her brother Marion Newman. Her grandchildren, Ken Miller, Richard (Nycole) Burgess Jr., Mat (Nikki) Burgess, Brian Burgess and Eric Burgess. Great-grandchildren; Gianna, Aubree, Ross, one more great-grandson on the way and daughter-in-law Carol Burgess

In addition to her mother Helen is preceded in death by her loving husband John Clyde Burgess. Son Richard Burgess Sr., and her grandson John Miller.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday April 25, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00pm & 6:00 to 8:00pm in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave. Charleroi Pa. 15022. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday April 26th in the funeral home, with Pastor Robert Fetty officiating. Interment will follow at Mon-Valley Memorial Park.
