Janet A. Reconnu

Janet A. Blackburn Reconnu, 79, of North Charleroi, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2019 at Jefferson Regional Hospital with her family by her side. Janet was born on April 12, 1939 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late John and Olive (Williams) Blackburn. She was a member of The Bible Chapel, Rostraver Chapter and the North Charleroi Home & Hospital Club. Janet is survived by her son John Craig Reconnu of North Charleroi, two daughters Cheryl (Joseph) Murray of Fallowfield Twp. and Carolyn (Angela) Reconnu-Shoffner of Oklahoma City, Okla.;  her sister Grace Blackburn of Monongahela; her grandson Bryan (Alyssa) Murray;  four great-grandchildren Dominic Murray, Giovanni Murray, Jordan Black and Vanessa Bruner; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Janet was preceded in death by her husband John “Crash” Reconnu, a sister Josephine Dunbar, a brother John Blackburn and grandson Joseph Murray III. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday at 11 am, at The Bible Chapel, Rostraver Chapter, 203 Johnson Avenue, Rostraver, PA 15012. Family and friends attending the services are being asked to go directly to the church.
