Joyce Armstrong

Joyce Kostelansky Armstrong, 83, of Dunlevy, went to be with the Lord and with her sons Roy Armstrong, who passed away December 13, 2010 and David Armstrong, who passed away on March 16, 2023, and her beloved husband Roy Armstrong, who passed away May 15, 2020. Joyce passed away on December 28th, 2025, Joyce has lived in Charleroi all her life she was the daughter of the late Joseph Paul Kostelanksy and Eleanor Lenhart Kostelansky.

She loved being a volunteer in the gift shop at Monongahela Valley Hospital and had many good friends. She followed many Doo Wop Oldies groups and enjoyed dancing to “Chris Ruggiero, Vogus, Marcles and Richie Merritt”.Joyce was known for her big heart and helping everyone. Her family was her life.

She is survived by her three sons, Daniel Armstrong (Sandy) of Wheeling W.VA., Thomas Armstrong (Brenda) Jefferson, Pa. and Kevin Armstrong of Charleroi. Her brothers; Joseph Kostalansky, Tom Kostelanksy of Charleroi and her sister Debra Havens of Richyville. Her 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren who she loved with all her heart.

In addition to her parents Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Roy Armstrong, her sons Roy Albert Armstrong and David Armstrong, and her brother Norman Kostelanksy.

Friends and family will be received from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm Friday, Jan, 2nd 2026, at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Jan. 3rd, 2026, in the funeral home. Interment will be held in the Monongahela Cemetery. Following the interment, the family would like to invite everyone to a luncheon celebration at the American Legion - Post 22 in Charleroi.
