Karen Ann Taylor

Karen Ann Taylor, 83 of Allenport, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Born on November 27, 1939, in North Charleroi, she is the daughter of the late Ralph Enos Nutt and Mary Leola (Stover) Nutt. 

A stay-at-home mom she loved spending time with her husband Tom as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Karen was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 205, Donora, PA.

Karen is survived by her husband of 65-years Thomas Taylor, Jr., daughter Linda (John) Schaum, son Thomas G. Taylor, 2 grandchildren, Justin Schaum and Adam (Valerie) Schaum and 2 great grandchildren Isaac Schaum and Jonah Schaum and a sister-in-law Arlene Nutt. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her sister Lois Matafka and brothers Ralph Kaye Nutt and James S. Nutt.

Friends and family will be received from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Hogan-Melenyzer Funeral Home & Cremation Serivces, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Avenue, Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, 49 2nd Street Ext., Donora, PA 15033.
