Kathryn Alberta (Wertz) Pirt

Kathryn Alberta (Wertz) Pirt, 68, of Donora, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 8th, 2022. Born on March 3rd, 1954, Kathy was the daughter of the late Harry “Bud” & Edna Mae (Stump) Wertz.

Kathy was a kind and loving person, she enjoyed watching her daily soap operas and talking to friends and family on the phone. Kathy was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by many.

Surviving to cherish Kathryn’s memory; her sons, Troy & wife Cheryl Pirt of Donora and Joseph & wife Chanta of Belle Vernon. Her grandchildren; Jessica Simpson, Tationa Pirt, Brianna Simpson, Curtis Wade, Maryah Fleming and Jahsi Pirt. Her three great-grandchildren; Jazale & Jabraela Carlock and Raina Simpson.

In addition to her parents Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband Joseph W. Pirt Sr. and siter-in-law Rosella Brooks.

Friends and family will be received from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday September 13th, 2022, at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC. , 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022.
