Linda Lee Hixenbaugh, 78, of Elco, went to be with the Lord on October 1st, 2025 at Mon Valley Care Center. Linda was born in North Charleroi on August 10th, 1947 to the late Robert A. and Elizabeth M. (Ruday) McCain.
Presbyterian by faith; Linda was a member of the Mingo Creek Presbyterian Church and was a member of the church choir. Linda graduated from California Area High School Class of 1965. Following high school, Linda attended and graduated from the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy Class of 1966. She loved crocheting, attending and being involved in all her church activities and she loved playing the piano. Linda loved and cherished cooking for the family gatherings, especially her homemade soups that everyone loved. Linda was a loving sister, grandmother, mother and a beloved wife to her husband Bill, of which her family will miss her dearly.
Surviving to cherish Linda’s memory; her beloved husband of 59 years William Hixenbaugh of Elco, her son Daniel (Lori) Hixenbaugh of Monessen, her daughter Tina (Domenic III) Betters of Pittsburgh. Her grandchildren: Sara Arthur and Nicholas Hixenbaugh of Monessen, Darrell and Donovan Bolin of Anchorage AK, and Elizabeth and Domenic Betters IV of Pittsburgh. Her sister Rosemarie Baer of Monongahela and her nieces Amy (Frank) Sutts of Monongahela and Lindsay (Jeff) Zimmerman of Hanover PA.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents Robert & Elizabeth (Ruday) McCain.
Per Linda’s wishes, all arrangements have been held privately at the HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022.
