Lois M. Gelder

Lois M.Gelder. 93 of Charleroi, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in the New Dawn Personal Care Home in North Charleroi, with her daughter by her side. She was born October 19, 1924 in California, PA., the daughter of the late John and Anna Cross Hartman. Mrs. Gelder was a member of the St. Mary’s Anglican Church Parish in Charleroi and the Episcopal Church Women. Lois was a dear and loving wife, mother and grandmother; she always put her family first. She is survived by her daughter Judith Zolak of Speers Hill and her son William Gelder, Jr., and wife Judy Miller Gelder of Charleroi; three grandchildren Jennifer Foor and husband Jeff, Jill Galante and husband Ken and Jason Gelder and wife Amanda; five great grandchildren Hayden, Haley and Hunter Galante and Jacob and Addilyn Gelder. She is also survived by several dear nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Gelder was preceded in death by her husband William Gelder, Sr., her son-in-law Eugene Zolak, five sisters and a sister-in-law Josephine Gelder. Friends will be received on Thursday from 6 to 9p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Funeral services will be held in St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 6th and Lookout Ave., Charleroi at 11 a.m. with Fr. Robert Hanna, Celebrant. Interment will be in the Charleroi Cemetery.
