Lori Len Burgess

Lori “Aunt Dee Dee” Len Burgess, 57, of North Charleroi, passed away peacefully at home on April 16, 2025 after completing her battle with breast cancer. Lori was born in North Charleroi, on January 26, 1968 to the late John Clyde and Helen (Yonash) Burgess. 

Lori was a member of the First Christian Church in Fallowfield. She loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pitt Panthers College Football. Lori enjoyed playing scratch offs, playing slot machines at the casino, bingo, and playing the lottery. She loved cooking and making her famous salad with her always delicious, homemade dressing. Lori had a heart of gold, the most giving and kindhearted person anyone could meet.  “Aunt Dee Dee” loved to spend time with her family, whom she loved with all her heart and will miss her dearly. 

Surviving to cherish Lori’s memory; her two sisters Cathy Weaver and Roxanne Burgess, her nieces and nephews Kenny (Heather Lucy) Miller II, Rich (Nycole) Burgess Jr., Mat (Nikki) Burgess, Brian Burgess, and Eric Burgess. Her great nieces and nephews Aubree McAfee, Gianna Miller, Ross Burgess, Rhett Burgess, and Luke Burgess and sister-in-law Carol Burgess. 

In addition to her parents, Lori is preceded in death by her brother Richard Burgess Sr. nephew John Miller and her brother-in-law Chuck Weaver. 

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Knestrick and the entire staff at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Washington for the loving care provided to Lori.

Friends and family will be received from 5:00 to 8:00p.m. on Friday April18th, 2025 at the HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral service will be held inside the funeral home on Saturday April 19th, 2025 at 10:00a.m. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
