Louis L. Farkos

Louis L. Farkos, 91, of North Charleroi, passed away peacefully with family by his side at UPMC Cranberry Place Senior Communities on October 10th, 2024. Louis was born on March 14th, 1933 to the late Louis and Ann (Buchta) Farkos.

Lou served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1955. He was a graduate of Charleroi Area High School and a graduate of Duquesne University where he obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.). Lou owned and operated Tenth Street Pharmacy in Charleroi for 42 years until his retirement.

Surviving to cherish Lou’s memory; his three sons Craig Farkos, Brian Farkos and Dennis (Pamala) Farkos; his three grandsons Cody (Maranda) Farkos, Thomas Farkos and Jonathan Farkos.

In addition to his parents, Lou is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Weldon Farkos, an infant son Louis Farkos and his sister Evelyn O’Reilly.

Per Lou’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. will be held on Tuesday, October 15th, 2024 at St. Andrew the Apostle Church – Charleroi Site, 624 Washington Ave., Charleroi, Pa 15022.
