Louisa O. Laskey, 95, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully on June 21st, 2020 at the Dunlevy Manor Personal Care Home in Dunlevy Pa. The daughter of the late Emile and Olga (Vandronne) Delestienne, Louisa was born on October 15, 1924 in North Charleroi. A devote Catholic, she was a long time member of Mary Mother of the Church (St. Andrew the Apostle) in Charleroi.
Louisa is survived by her, daughter Donna (Louis) Vaira of Ayer MA, grandchildren; Luanne, Linda, Lisa and Louisa. Daughter-in-law, Pauline (son Kenneth “Gizmo” decd) Laskey of Charleroi, grandchildren; Kenneth, Keith, Catherine and Timothy. Daughter Mary Jo (Ray) Curley of Savage MD, grandchildren; Raymond, Ronald, Erin and Leanne. Daughter Veronica (Tom) Pivovarnik of Lancaster, grandchildren; Tom, Carrie and Rachel. Daughter Barbara (Andy) Temoshenka of Belle Vernon, grandchildren; Andrew and Ryan. Daughter Patricia (Barry decd) Brinker of Charleroi, grandchildren; Melissa and Brittany. Daughter Louisa (Kevin) Mollis, grandchildren; Kara, Kourtney and Kevin Luke. Daughter Joanne (Bill) Wiltz of Charleroi, grandchildren; Frank, Cristina, Derek and Roman. Daughter Kathleen (Scott) Conte of Gibsonia, grandchildren; Matthew, Luke and Michael. Son Joseph (Linda Ford) Laskey of Charleroi, grandchildren Joseph and Joshua. She is also survived by her sister Gay Lee Massey, 44 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Louisa is preceded in death by her husband Joseph J. Laskey. Sister Rachel Hrutkay and her brothers, Emile and George Delestienne
Friends will be received from 2:00 to 6:00pm Thursday June 25th, & 3:00 to 7:00pm on Friday June 26th in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave, Charleroi. A funeral mass of Catholic faith will be held at 10:00 a.m. on June 27th, 2020 at Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish, 624 Washington Ave, Charleroi. Masks are required when entering the funeral home & are required in the church. Family and friends attending the funeral services are being asked to go directly to the Church.
