Mary Kay Fredrick, 97, of Carroll Township, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2021 at The Residence at Hilltop. Born on February 14, 1924 in Star Junction, she is the daughter of the late John & Agnes (Sipkovsky) Marinak.
Mary worked at Corning in Charleroi for many years until her retirement and was a member of the Saint Andrew the Apostle Church Charleroi location. A member of the Christian Mothers, Mary was an avid card player; particularly the Slovak Card Club and the Craven Hill Card Club.
Surviving to cherish Mary’s memory; her sons, Mark (wife Jane) Fredrick & Paul Fredrick. Grandsons; Justin (wife Megan) Fredrick & Jordan Fredrick; great-grandchildren, Mason & Declon Fredrick. Her sister Agnes DeAngelis, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband Paul P. Fredrick and her sister Katherine Marinak Dorcon.
Friends and family will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00pm on Sunday October 31, 2021 at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC. (formerly Schrock- Hogan Funeral Home), 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday November 1st, at St. Andrew Apostle Parish, Charleroi Site, 7th Street and Washington Avenue, Charleroi.
