Mary Ann McKenna, 82, of Speers, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2022, in her own home, with her loving family by her side. Born in North Charleroi, on April 5th, 1939, Mary Ann was the daughter of late John Bernard O’Neill & Anna Mary Peters.

Mary Ann McKenna, 82, of Speers, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2022, in her own home, with her loving family by her side. Born in North Charleroi, on April 5th, 1939, Mary Ann was the daughter of late John Bernard O’Neill & Anna Mary Peters.

Catholic by faith; Mary Ann was a member Saint Andrew Apostle Perish (formerly known as Mary Mother) choir for over 30 years. She was also a member of the Russian Club and the Belgium Club. She enjoyed country music, spending her time outdoors at Ohiopyle and working for Intermediate Unit 1 for various school districts for over 20 years.

Surviving to cherish Mary Ann’s memory; her son Joseph Bernard McKenna, Charles Andrew McKenna Sr. and her daughter Catherine Ann McKenna. Mary Ann also has 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary Ann is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Carlton McKenna Jr., her son Christopher Lynn McKenna; her sister Rita O’Neill; her brothers Joseph
Raymond O’Neill, Louis O’Neill and George O’Neill. Mary Ann is also preceded in death by one grandchild Joshua Joseph McKenna.

Friends and family will be received from 9:00 to 11:45am on Friday April 1st, 2022, at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC. (formerly Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home), 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at NOON April 1st, 2022, at St. Andrew Apostle Perish, Charleroi Site, 7th Street and Washington Avenue, Charleroi.
