Michael Paul Copeland

Michael Paul Copeland, 33, of Speers, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 18th, 2025. Michael was born on August 9th, 1991 to P. Kevin and Linda J. (Fretz) Copeland.

Michael was the sweetest boy and was so caring and gentle, he loved everyone and everyone loved him. He was loved by his family, all of the home health nurses, close family friends and all who knew him just adored his sweet and kind personality.

Michael enjoyed his walks through his neighborhood of Speers and seeing all the neighbors waving and greeting him with kindness. He loved his balloons and looking at the bright lights in his room. Michael truly loved all the time he got to spend with his grandfather Robert E. Fretz Sr., who was his best friend and was with Michael every day he could and are now home in heaven together.

In addition to his parents, surviving to cherish Michael’s memory is his grandmother Irma Fretz, his Aunts and Uncles: Lori (Dean) Savko, Janice Fretz, Frances (Kim) Pietrowski, and Gaeta Copeland and numerous cousins.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandfather Robert E. Fretz Sr., his grandparents Marcus P. Copeland and Julia Elizabeth Copeland, and his Uncles Robert E. Fretz Jr. and Mark A. Copeland.

Friends and family will be received from 4:00 to 7:00p.m. on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025 at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00a.m. on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025 inside the funeral home, doors will open at 9:00a.m. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
