Paul Thomas Lape, 79, of Charleroi went to be with the Lord on October 17th, 2024. Paul was born on June 14th, 1945 raised by his late grandparents Harry and Mary (Evans) Lape.
Paul graduated from the Charleroi Area High School Class of 1964. Following high school, Paul served honorably in the United Sates Navy in 1965 to 1969 during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Charleroi and was a Generator Winder at Westinghouse Electric for 30 years. He later worked for Leader Professional Services and Siemens Fossil Services for Environmental Safety for 10 years before retirement in 2015. Paul enjoyed his profession for it took him to many countries around the world.
After his family, his second love was golfing. He especially enjoyed playing with the members at Nemacolin Country Club during the years he was a member there. He truly enjoyed the friendships he formed with his fellow members.
Surviving to cherish Paul’s memory; his wife Sandra Marshall Lape of 54 years, his daughters Paula Douyon of Elizabeth PA., and Jennifer Sines of Elco Pa. His grandchildren; Michelle Douyon of Brownsville PA., Trey Douyon of Miami Fl., Kathy Douyon of Port Orchard WA., Megan Scicchitano of California Pa., and Jace Sines of Elco Pa. Paul’s great-grandchildren Logan, Mila and Ella Scicchitano of California Pa., his brother-in-law David (Karen) Marshall of N. Charleroi and his nephew Brian (Kim) Marshall of Fallowfield Twp. And his furry friends Freeway and Gabby.
In addition to his grandparents, Paul is preceded in death by his mother Katherine Lape Cmar.
