Robert William Krusey Jr., 89, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully on October 3rd, 2023 in the Cambridge Creekside Senior Living Facility. Born in Pittsburgh on July 23rd, 1934, Robert was the son of the late Robert William Sr. and Midge (Myers) Krusey.
A graduate of Charleroi High School, he married the love of his life, Mrs. Virginia Martin Krusey on February 2nd, 1955 and they celebrated 68 wonderful years together. Mr. Krusey served his country honorably in the United States Army. Bob worked for his father at Krusey and Son Contractors and Builders and after his father’s retirement, he worked for the Carpenter’s Union until his retirement.
Bob was a member of the First Christian Church, the Lions Club of Charleroi, the Charleroi Sportsman’s Club and the Roscoe Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed the outdoors with his family at their cabin in Forest County enjoying camping, hunting, fishing and boating.
Uncle Bob is survived by his nieces and nephews; Bill (Barbara) Reis, of Charleroi, Jack (Kathy) Reis of Belpre, WV. Ricky Martin of California State, Kathy (Scott) Martin Lane of Alabama, Jeanmarie (Willy) Martin Rogers of Litiz, PA, Germaine (Mark) Reed, of Bethel Park, Jim Falis of Fallowfield, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his wife Virginia Martin Krusey, his children Robert Wayne Krusey and Martin Francis Krusey, his niece Michelle Martin and his sisters June Krusey and Joan Krusey.
The family would like to thank the staff of Cambridge Creekside Senior Living for the excellent care and comfort they provided.
Friends and family will be received from 10:00am to 12:00pm on Friday, October 6th, 2023 at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Following the visitation, funeral services will begin at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions in Robert’s name, be made to the Charleroi Area School District Education Foundation (CASDEF), PO Box 382 Charleroi, PA 15022.
