Roland “Woody” W. Woodall Jr., of Charleroi, passed away peacefully at Penn Highlands Mon Valley on January 26th, 2026. Born in North Charleroi on December 8th, 1945, Woody is the son of the late Roland W. Woodall Sr. and Orma (Crow) Woodall.
Woody graduated from the Charleroi Area High School and graduated from The Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics (PIA) with a Flight Engineer degree. Woody loved airplanes and flew all over the country. He was an avid gun collector and a member of the NRA. Woody enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Charleroi Sportsman Association and the Charleroi Fishing Club. He was also a member of the Belgium Club and numerous other social clubs throughout the Valley.
Woody was a history buff and an avid reader. He loved boating on the Mon on his beloved boat the LambChop II. Woody enjoyed riding motorcycles, cars, and anything with an engine and was a self-employed truck driver. Above all else, Woody loved spending his time with friends and family of whom will miss him dearly.
Surviving to cherish Woody’s memory; his two sons Buddy (Kelly) Woodall and Travis Woodall, and his daughter Meredith (Zach) Woodall Rohaley. His grandchildren Tawni and Jeffrey Woodall, Whitney Vigliotti, Courtney Woodall, and Mackenzie Woodall. His great-grandchildren Via, Vanetta, and Alayah.
Woody’s step-sons, Ron (Amy) Phillips, James (Becky) Phillips, Sam (Melissa) Sproull. His step-grandchildren Chelsea (Jon) Rotramel, Michael Phillips, Sara (Bobby) Crouse, Bailey (Logan Janovich) Phillips, Jimmy Phillips, and Molly and Sammy Sproull. His step-great-grandchildren Eliza, Jameson, Everly, and Colette Rotramel, and Saylor and Lakelynn Crouse. Wood’s cousins Robert Winwood and Karen Woodall, and his Aunt Judi Crow.
In addition to his parents, Woody is preceded in death by his beloved wife Dianne Woodall and his son Todd Woodall.
Friends and family will be received from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, January 30th, 2026 at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, doors will open at NOON. Following the service, a celebration of life will be held at the Fallowfield Township Firehall, 1660 Route 481, Charleroi, PA 15022.
