Obituary

Rosemarie Gail Bird, 67, of Belle Vernon, passed away peacefully on February 23rd, 2022, in her home with her family by her side. Born in Charleroi on September 9th, 1954, Rose is the daughter of the late Frank Dale Chew Jr. & Elise (Bertin) Chew.

A graduate of Charleroi High School class of 1973, Rose was a Member and Deaconess of the First Christian Church, Fallowfield Twp. An avid sports fan, she especially enjoyed cheering on her grandchildren in every sport they played.

Surviving to cherish Rose’s memory; her husband of 47 years, Ronald Allen Bird of Belle Vernon, daughter Jennifer (Dane) Wilcox of Bear Delaware, sons, Ronald (Icyline) Allen Bird Jr., of Belle Vernon and Brandon (Lauren) Bird of Monongahela. Her sister, Linda Lapinksy and brother Frank (Joanne) Dale Chew III. Her five grandchildren: Zachary, Alexander, Emily, Isaac and Liam Bird, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents.

Friends and family will be received from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Saturday February 26th, 2022  and 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm Sunday February 27th at HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC. (formerly Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home), 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022.

Funeral services will be held on Monday February 28th at 11:00 a.m. in the First Christian Church, Walnut Ridge Road, Charleroi, with the Rev. Larry Coltura officiating.
