Theodore Arthur Ramsey

Theodore Arthur Ramsey of Charleroi, age 89 passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 20, 2021.  Adored and loving husband for 65 years of Lulabelle (Mills) Ramsey.  Cherished father to Ron (Cris) Ramsey of Venetia, PA and Kim (Jeff) Peters of Confluence, PA and best buddy to his faithful dog Chester.  Ted was raised in Graceville / Breezewood, PA son of the late Brady and Gladys (Foor) Ramsey, brother to Eloise Ramsey and the late Othella Beck and Richard Ramsey. Grandchildren; Jason (Keli) Peters, Nicole (Daniel Papke) Peters and great-grandson Gage Benjamin Peters. He loved being an uncle to many nephews and nieces of both family and friend’s children.  “Ted”, “T.A.”, “Neighbor Ted”, retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel - Monessen Southwestern Railroad – Gibson Yard.  He continued his love of working at Giant Eagle – Elizabeth, PA.  Ted loved interacting with everyone he met and those conversations usually started with Where are you from? And ended with, Love you, and Bye!  He was a proud and active member for Christ Lutheran Church – Charleroi, PA and a 50 plus year member of the Charleroi Elks. Special thanks to the caring staff at Rolling Meadows Health Care Center, Waynesburg  who took wonderful care of Ted. A celebration of Ted’s life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hogan-Melenyzer Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. Kirk Russell Melenyzer, Funeral Director.
