Thomas Gordon Riley Sr.

Thomas Gordon Riley Sr., 89, of North Charleroi, passed away peacefully on May 1st, 2024 at home with his family by his side. Born in Charleroi on August 4th, 1934, Tom was the son of the late Thomas T. and Ruth (Fox) Riley.

Tom’s dedication to maintaining the Charleroi Cougar Stadium (downtown) and his many years at Bell Telephone was unmatched. A loyal season ticket holder of the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was an avid sports fan who enjoyed every moment spent at games. He found joy in golfing with friends from Bell Telephone and cherished his time with family and friends.

Surviving to cherish Tom’s memory; his wife of over 60 years Shirley (Koons) Riley, of North Charleroi. His two sons: Thomas (Carrie) Riley Jr., of Charleroi and Gary (Kristin) Riley, of Speers. His six grandchildren; Gunnar (Madeline) Riley, Morgan Riley, Tanner Riley, Kaitlyn Riley Keaton Riley and Brady Riley.

In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his brother Gary E. Riley.
