Warren “Deane” Orr, 72, of Renovo Pa, formerly of Charleroi, passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2022. Born on September18th, 1949, Deane was the son of the late Warren & Bettie Lou (Burgess) Orr.
Deane was a Free & Accepted Mason and was a proud Eagle Scout. He was the Vice President of the river operations for Consol Coal, served on the Army U.S.A.C.E. Userboard, past president of Pittsburgh Waterways Association, riverboat Captain of the MV Arkwright and was an AWO (American Waterways Operator). Deane was an avid fly fisherman, but most importantly he loved spending time with friends and family.
Surviving to cherish Deane’s memory; his wife Susan Orr, his daughters Deanne (Lenny) Caruso, Darcie Jo Orr and Jamie Lynn Orr. Step-daughter,Julia (James) Kokemore, and step-son Will Cox. His grandchildren; Lanie (Freddy) Balmer, Logan (Anna) Jacobs, Violet Kokemore, Thomas Kokemore, and Bear Greer. His great-grandchildren; Sylvie Young and Henry Balmer. Sisters; Kate Orr Calhoun, Nancy Orr Acton, Bettie Grace Orr and Deane’s closest friends; George (Linda) Foster, Mark (Mary) Knoy, Mike (Pam) Somales, and Brian (Kellie) McKevitt.
Friends and family will be received on Monday June 6th, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00pm and Tuesday June 7th, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00am at which time funeral services will begin in the HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC.
