William "Bill" Hixenbaugh Obituary

William “Bill” Ray Hixenbaugh, of Elco, passed away peacefully on December 6th, 2025 at Concordia Hospice of Washington Donnell House. Bill was born in North Charleroi on March 31st, 1945, to the late Ray and Juanita M. (Brewer) Hixenbaugh.

 

Presbyterian by faith; Bill was a member of the Mingo Creek Presbyterian Church. Bill worked for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel for 46 years until he retired in 2008.  Bill was a collector of rare and antique coins, he was an avid gardener and enjoyed painting his garden figurines, and he never missed a chance to go to Eat’n Park.

 

Surviving to cherish Bill's memory; his son Daniel (Lori) Hixenbaugh of Monessen, his daughter Tina (Domenic) Betters of Mt. Lebanon. His grandchildren: Sara Arthur and Nicholas Hixenbaugh of Monessen, Darrell Bolin, of Trapper Creek AK and Donovan Bolin, of Anchorage, AK, and Elizabeth and Domenic Betters IV of Mt. Lebanon.

 

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years Linda Hixenbaugh, who passed away October 1st, 2025. 

 

Per Bill’s wishes, all arrangements have been held privately at the HOGAN-MELENYZER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, PA 15022. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.hogan-melenyzer.com.
