William "Bill" Krutz

William “Bill” Krutz, 80, of Charleroi, went to be with the Lord on August 5th, 2024. Bill was born on December 9th, 1943 to the late William and Della Krutz.

After attending the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics in 1961, Bill served honorably in the U.S. Army as an airplane mechanic. Bill was a member of the First Christian Church in Charleroi, a member of the Charleroi American Legion Post 22, was on Speers Council for over 24 years and a member of the FreeMason Charleroi Monongahela Lodge 337. Bill would also volunteer for the Pittsburgh Grand Prix and the Pittsburgh Marathon.

Surviving to cherish Bill’s memory; his wife Garnet Garrett Krutz, his brother-in-law Pat (Sis) Garrett, his nephews; Robert (Heather) Garrett, John Edward (Mary) Garrett, Eddie (Mary) Garrett and Joseph (Lissette) Garrett, and Chris (Katelyn) Garrett. His nieces Amy Garrett, Debra (Donald) Herbert, Raven (Travis) Jefferies. His son-in-law Eric (Bethany) Devaney, his step-sister Letty (William) Knouse and numerous cousins.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his sister Ruth Deichler, his brother Larry Krutz, and brother-in-law Bill Garrett.

A memorial of life will be held on Saturday, August 17th, 2024 at 4:00pm at the First Christian Church, 61 Walnut Ridge Road, Charleroi, PA 15022. Interment and Military Honors will be held on August 30th, 2024 at 1:30pm at the National Cemeteries of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville PA.
