Charles “Chuck” Bateman Wagner, 91 of Fallowfield Township, died Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the Donnell House in Washington, PA.  Devoted father, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather.  Chuck was born June 27, 1925 in Charleroi, the son of the late James and Ruth Cook Wagner.  He graduated from Charleroi High School in the class of 1944. Chuck was a pilot during World War II in the Army Air Corps.  After his service to his country, Chuck owned his own Refrigeration and Air Condition Business. He was employed with the Authority of The Borough of Charleroi until his retirement.   Chuck was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Charleroi where he devoted many hours of service.  He was an active member and trustee of the Charleroi Masonic Lodge 615 and the Pittsburgh Syria Temple.  He was a 23 year volunteer of the Meals on Wheels program for both his church and lodge. Charles will be missed greatly by his daughter Diana (Marker) Bowden of Beaver, his son Denis (Pam) Wagner of Fallowfield Township; grandsons JR (Karen) Wagner of Charleroi, Bill (Brittany) Wagner of Fallowfield Township, Mike Marker of Brighton Township, Eric (Jackie) Marker of Beaver;  great-grandchildren Michele Cahill of South Park, Kate and William Wagner of Fallowfield Township, Deni and Charlee Wagner Fallowfield Township, Dylan and Clarissa Marker of Brighton Township and Benjamin and Grace Marker of Beaver; his sister Jane Shultz of Brighton Township and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends from church and lodge.  In addition to his parents Chuck was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Lois Power Wagner, step-mother Laura Cook Wagner and son-in-law Bob Bowden.  Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11a.m. in the First United Methodist Church, 6th and Lincoln Ave., Charleroi, with Pastor Lori Walters officiating.  Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery with full military rites.  A masonic service will be held on Tuesday evening at 7p.m. in the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com.
