Harold “Gene” Kite, Sr., 84 of North Charleroi, passed away Tuesday,
November 22, 2016 in Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll Twp. He was born
July 27, 1932 in Grays Landing, PA., the son of the late Hoyt and Mary
Elizabeth Kite.  Gene was a veteran in the Korean Conflict serving in the
U.S. Air Force.  He was a member of the Slavic Citizen Club and the French
Club both of North Charleroi and the American Legion Post #22 of
Charleroi.  Gene retired from the United States Corp of Engineers working
at Lock #4 Dam with 39 years of service.  He is survived by his son Harold
“Gene”  Kite, Jr., and his wife Tami of Richeyville and his daughter Tina
Kite of North Charleroi; his brother Robert Kite and his wife Joan of
Parma, OH; his sister Darlene Cap and husband Duane of Fallowfield Twp.;
three grandchildren Richard Ankney Jr., Keirstin Kite and Kaleb Kite.  In
addition to his parents Gene is preceded in death by his wife Margaret
“Peggy” Kite and three brothers Hoyt, James and John Kite.  Friends will be
received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral
Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11a.m. from the funeral home
with Rev Charles Cochran officiating.  Interment will follow at the Mon
Valley Memorial Park, Carroll Twp. with full military rites.  Online
