James L. Arnold, 74 of Mechanicsburg (formerly of Belle Vernon) went with the Lord on Saturday, May 21, 2016. James was born September 2, 1941 in Somerset Pa., the son of the late Pauline Faidley  and Ray Arnold.  He was a member of the Frist Christian Church of Charleroi.   Jim was a graduate of Charleroi High School and University of Pittsburgh.  He was an avid supporter of the Pitt football and basketball programs. He was a retired Industrial Salesman with Duriron Company.  Jim loved boating with his friends and family.  Jim had stayed positive and brave during his difficult diagnosis and was an inspiration to others.    He is survived by this wife of 46 years Linda Peppel Arnold, a daughter Letitia Gensbigler and her husband Thomas. Two sisters  Betty Sloan and Marcia Duffy.  Two brothers  Roger and David Arnold.  Three grandchildren,  Paul, Luke and Christian Gensbigler.  Friends will be received Tuesday, May 24, from 2 to 3:45 pm in the First Christian Church,   61 Walnut Ridge Road, Charleroi where a funeral service will be held at 4 pm., with the Rev Charles Cochran officiating.  Interment will follow Wednesday, in Rolling Green Cemetery, 181 Carlisle Road Camp Hill, Pa. 17011.
