James F. Theys Sr., 65 of Fayette City, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016 at his home.  He was born January 19, 1951 in North Charleroi, the son of the late George M. and Luella (Sis) Dennis Theys.  Jim graduated from Charleroi High School in the class of 1969.  He was an avid sportsman.  He was a member of the East Huntingdon Sportsmen’s Assoc., the Warsaw Sportsmen’s Club and the Perryopolis Sons of Italy.  Jim retired from the Fisher Body Plant in West Mifflin with 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife Tamara K. Turis Theys; two sons James F. Theys, Jr. and his wife Ann of Charleroi and Jason J. Theys and his wife Tina of Belle Vernon; a step-daughter Tara Jurczak and husband Mark of Belle Vernon; his brother George Theys and his wife Toni of Ruffsdale; two sisters Karen Abraham and husband Michael of Fairfax, VA., and Carol Theys of Vienna, VA; seven grandchildren Bethany, Seth and Samuel Jurczak, Alaina, Gavin and Addison Theys and Kiely Littek; two brothers-in-law  Jan Turis and his wife Linda of Scottdale and Dale Turis and his wife Nancy of Dawson; his step mother Joann Richs Theys of Warren, OH.  Also surviving by nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received Saturday from 2 to 6:45p.m. followed by a funeral services at 7p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi.  In lieu of flowers contributions are to be made to American Cancer Society.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com.
