Peter L. Cherocci, Jr., 84 of Charleroi, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 at his home.  He was born March 20, 1933 in Monessen, the son of the late Marie McGavitt and Peter L. Cherocci, Sr.  Pete was a US Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.  He retired from Westinghouse Corp.  Pete is survived by his wife of 64 years Marie DiGiacomo Cherocci; his daughter Sherrie Gogol and husband Frank of North Charleroi; two sisters Shirley Uhlman of Charleroi and Norma Metzner and husband Albert of Coal Center; three grandchildren Frankie J. Gogol, Kristin Large and husband Eric and Kelly Pendo and husband Jason; four great grandchildren Caden and Avery Pendo and Bryce and Levi Large.  At the wishes of Pete there will be no public viewing and funeral services will be private.  Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Twp.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com.
