Dear Melanie, Dave and families,
I was so very sorry to read of your mom's passing. She was such a lovely woman, and I feel blessed to have known her. I would think of her quite often, because a long time ago she gave me a cookbook made by her church and her personal recipes are all of my favorites. Today I'm making her hot sausage and I had to let you know. My all time favorite is her recipe for Old Settlers Beans. I've made them hundreds of times and everyone who tries them loves them! (Another is her cheesecake cookie bars!) Sorry to run on, but I just wanted you to know that her memory will live on and on through her recipes.....which is I'm sure only one of the many ways she showed love for her family and friends. Take care and God bless. Your mom will be missed!
